Playing in the Rain

28 05 2008
Andy and I have decided that we are going to have to just go out and play with Bertie and Gracie in the rain
the wether said that it will rain till Monday. Well, I know we need the wet wether but it started raining on Friday and has not stop ed but for just a Very short time (Little Brakes) and we don’t want the girls to sit for the week before we head out to Sacramento so out we go to get Wet.
Today we had one of those little brakes and Andy got on Gracie man was she full of energy but the ride was good Joan got some wonderful pics.

Bertie got her feet trimmed the other day, She was so good she just stood there.
This horse is SO SWEET she loves to be with people and to be groomed.
Bertie is going to make a wonderful family or kids horse she loves to get out and play it doesn’t matter if it is to learn something new, play game or just hang out with her people
as long as she is being messed with she is a very happy little Bird.

My Dad (Gary) has named his filly Tess.
She is doing great he took her out of the round pen today for a walk everything was wonderful.
She crossed the bridge, stood all 4 feet on the box and just enjoyed walking around the property and saying hi to everyone (we always have quite a few people around our place to see and visit with the mustangs)

Chester is good. I still have not done much with him Right now. I fill like I am running 90 MPH to get everything ready to go to Sac. We head out in just 6 Days. He dose lead, pick up his feet and I can touch him everywhere but that is about it.

More Mustang Fun !!!

25 05 2008
First off Bertie and Gracie are doing great!!
We are getting a lot or rain right now so they have had a few days off.
We (my dad Gary and I) got the Yearling Mustangs for the Extreme Mustang Makeover Mission 007, Yearling Edition That will be in Reno, NV. in August 08. I have a cute little Red Bay Gelding. I named him Winchester (Chester).
My dad got a little Silver Bay Filly but he has not come up with a name yet.
They both lead, they can be brushed all over and will pick up there front feet, they are very sweet.
When the rain stops I will get some pics for you.

The Brave Little Toaster

14 05 2008
That is what Gracie is.
First let me tell you a bit about Andy.
Gracie is the first horse that he has trained all by him self, He has watched me and helped out but this one is all him and man I could not be more proud of him and his AMAZING little horse. Andy and Gracie have a bond that is VERY special, This is a bond that everyone wishes they could have with there horse, They have 100% trust in each other and they just blow my mind every time I see them work. Andy just asks her to do something and you can see her say sure Dad what ever you would like, and there in NO hesitation she just dose it no matter if he is on the ground or on her back.
The sad part about this is Andy dose NOT own a horse his is his first horse and only horse.

Today Andy and Gracie whet out for there first Trail ride by there self (well, I walked on foot behind them and took pics, boy did I get a work out) They claimed mountains, Sand dooms, crossed the bridge, played in the water, Road down the road with cars and Trucks passing them. The hole time Gracie was Perfect It was like they have been ridding for years and this was just one more of there many advancers together as a team (I was about to cry from thinking of Andy loosing his new best friend and Gracie having to try to find someone new when she has given her hole heart and sole
 to Andy).
Well, Like always I have some good pics but you just have to wait to see them I have to do all that downloading stuff first.
